Despite the fact that I had decided to get a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, I still didn’t really know what I wanted to do when I grew up. That all changed the first week of the semester. I was enrolled in a class called “Usability Engineering” and it immediately captured my attention. I had already been thinking in terms of user-centered design and usability, I just didn’t know it.

I dove into the world of Usability and User Experience. I took as many Usability/UX courses as I could, I read articles online, and even helped start a UX “mini-meet” group as part of Montana Programmers, a network of 1,600 coders across Montana.

I have designed and executed several UX related research studies, completed projects that included user interface design, created high- and low-level prototypes, and conducted multiple types of usability testing such as one-on-one interviews, user observation, think aloud sessions, user groups, validation testing, and heuristic evaluations.
